Monday 2 January 2017
New Year Walk

Monday 2 January was a beautiful morning, with sunshine and blue sky, just the day for a walk.  Twenty eight walkers, plus four dogs, gathered at the church car park, for a lovely four mile, local walk, led by Doug Lock.

On return to the Church Rooms, tables laid and soup warming up, the Bring & Share lunch, was soon enjoyed by thirty five diners.  A great team effort - preparation of the rooms, food and clearing up afterwards etc.  A very enjoyable, social occasion to start 2017.

Sunday 26 March
Mothering Sunday

As well as providing an opportunity to give thanks to our Mothers for their devoted care for us, Mothering Sunday provides an opportunity to reflect on the whole area of mothering, and the role our ‘Mother Church’ plays in nurturing faith.

St Nicolas is a Mother Church for many people, young and old, whose faith is strengthened and grows through being a part of this lovely Christian community.  Our 10.00am Family service on this day will celebrate all these issues of mothering and will include the traditional giving out of posies.
