As a serving priest Tricia meets people in different situations, as she leads services of Baptism, Weddings and Funerals or at weekly services when needed, or being in the congregation at any service. Each service is a unique occasion of meeting with God as a community of people and Tricia considers it an honour to serve as a priest.
Tricia believes there are two aspects govern being a Christian: Being aware of God, as expressed in Psalm 139: 1-18, and the practical purpose given by Jesus’ words at the end of Matthew’s Gospel – “Make disciples of all nations”. |

Peter has been retired for 21 years and helps out when he can in the parish. Peter considers himself a traditionalist in forms of worship but tries to present the Gospel in ways that ordinary people understand.

Young people are an important part of our worship and our community in Cranleigh and we are very grateful to have a great team of volunteers who help Emily to facilitate our work with children, young people and families at St. Nic’s.
We get up to lots including holiday clubs, youth group, our toddler group, bible study for mums, assemblies and RE lessons in our locals schools and more.
Have a look at the children/young people area for more information.

Judy Wedderspoon - Licensed Lay Minister |
|
|
There is no set pattern for what an LLM (Reader) is meant to do, though it became apparent soon after Judy's admission as a Reader some 5 years ago that she would mainly be asked to preach.
Readers cannot take sacramental services such as the Eucharist, marriages and baptisms, but Judy loves taking Evensong, as she believes profoundly in the importance of services of the Word.
Judy also deeply appreciates the enormous privilege of taking Holy Communion to parishioners who are unable to come to church and is grateful to God for his late calling of her to this ministry.
