                                   Why we need your help

Your regular giving,
  • provides the Church with regular income towards costs of over £4,000 each week;
  • helps us take responsible decisions about the work in the Parish;
  • makes possible the recovery of tax from the Government.
Giving by Gift Aid costs you nothing:
  • It allows 25p of tax to be reclaimed for every £1 you give.
  • Signing the gift aid declaration form costs nothing and does not affect tax coding.
  • If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim additional tax relief via HMRC.

To maintain the Church, the churchyard, the St Nicolas Rooms, and to support the work we do in the Community including our Mission Giving to Local, National and International Charities, and carry out all its activities, the Church relies entirely on voluntary donations from parishioners and other supporters.

If you are able to support St Nicolas' financially in our work and our mission, there are a number of ways of GIVING:
Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) - Parish code 171702081
The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a simple and secure way for churches to receive regular donations by Direct Debit. It is operated nationally for the Church of England on behalf of parish churches to ease the administrative burden for churches, while empowering all generations to give with confidence and to feel valued.
There are three easy and secure ways to donate to St Nicolas Church through the Parish Giving Scheme. You can set up a Direct Debit online, or fill in a gift form available from the Church Office, or telephone PGS who we will help you set up a direct debit step by step.
